CM Nitish Kumar announced a new 'Didi ki Rasoi' scheme in Bihar. Now, balanced meals will be available for just 20 rupees. Alongside this, plans for pension increase, free electricity, and solar power plants were also declared.
Bhabhua, Kaimur: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made several major announcements during an NDA rally held at Jagjivan Stadium in Bhabhua town, Kaimur district. He stated that the government is working for the development and welfare of all citizens of the state. Under this initiative, meals will now be available at 'Didi ki Rasoi' for only 20 rupees, instead of 40 rupees. This step has been taken with the aim of benefiting people from poor and middle-income groups.
Affordable and Nutritious Meals at Didi ki Rasoi
The Chief Minister informed the gathering that every citizen would now be able to receive nutritious and balanced meals at Didi ki Rasoi for 20 rupees. He stated that this would benefit people from all sections of society, making food accessible and affordable for families living below the poverty line.
Nitish Kumar also emphasized that the government has paid special attention to the quality and nutritional value of the food. The meals will be clean, safe, and nutritious, enabling all citizens to gain health benefits. He urged people to take maximum advantage of this initiative.
Pension Increase: From 400 to 1100 Rupees
The CM also informed that the state government has increased the pension amount for the elderly, specially-abled, and widowed women. Previously, this pension was 400 rupees, which has now been raised to 1100 rupees. Nitish Kumar stated that this amount would be provided to all beneficiaries, easing their lives.
He further added that the state government has strived to benefit all needy individuals under this scheme. The increased pension amount will enhance financial security and improve the standard of living.
Free Electricity and Solar Power Plants
The Chief Minister announced that the Bihar government has decided to provide free electricity to all households. Concurrently, the installation of solar power plants on rooftops is also progressing rapidly.
The CM urged the attendees at the rally to be inspired to install solar power plants in their homes. He explained that this would save electricity and benefit the environment. Solar power plants will help meet domestic electricity needs and reduce electricity bills.
Saat Nishchay Yojana and its Impact
Nitish Kumar elaborated on the Saat Nishchay Yojana (Seven Resolves Scheme) launched in 2015, followed by the Saat Nishchay Yojana-2 implemented in 2020.
Key objectives of Saat Nishchay Yojana:
- Providing tap water to every household
- Construction of toilets in every household
- Paved roads to every hamlet
- Provision of street lights
- Expansion of irrigation facilities
- Telemedicine services
- Operation of Bal Hridaya Yojana (Child Heart Scheme)
The CM stated that these schemes have brought about widespread changes in rural and urban areas. People are receiving basic facilities, and their standard of living has improved.
Improved Road Connectivity: Patna in 5 Hours
Nitish Kumar said that the Bihar government has ensured better road connectivity from all districts of the state to Patna. Now, anyone can reach Patna in five hours. This will save commuters' time and enhance transport convenience.
He also informed that road construction and improvement works are continuously underway, enabling all citizens to travel safely and quickly to various parts of the state.
Widespread Impact of Development Schemes
The CM stated that the Saat Nishchay Yojana and its expansion have played a significant role in Bihar's development. Basic facilities like education, health, employment, irrigation, and electricity are now readily available to the people.
Nitish Kumar affirmed that the state government is running special schemes for people from poor, middle-income, and tribal communities. This effort is benefiting all sections of society and contributing to the overall development of Bihar.
