Patna: The Congress party has gained political strength before the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Senior leader Mohammad Jahangir and several other prominent leaders have strengthened the Congress in the upcoming elections by rejoining the party. These leaders had expressed displeasure with the party over ticket distribution during the 2019 Assembly by-elections.

Jahangir stated that he never left the party and was only taking a break at home for some time. His return was welcomed by the Member of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly, which has not only increased the party's electoral strength but also strengthened the position of the Congress within the Grand Alliance.

Who Has Returned to the Party

Along with Jahangir, the leaders returning to the party include Abid, Budhra Mukhiya representative Mohammad Javed, and several others. All these leaders were upset during the 2019 by-elections when the party gave the Assembly ticket to the mother of Member of Parliament Dr. Mohammad Javed. At that time, some leaders even engaged in anti-party activities, but now their return has opened new opportunities for the Congress.

MP representative Imran, Block Congress President Master Anamul, and MLA Izharul Hussain played an important role in this homecoming. All the senior leaders and MLAs expressed happiness during the welcome and hoped that the party would be strengthened.
