Approximately 114 flights will be canceled between June 15th and September 15th, 2025. This decision is due to the upgrade of the airport's main runway, RW 10/28. Specifically, the Instrument Landing System (ILS) on this runway is being upgraded.
ILS is a high-tech system that aids in the safe landing of aircraft, especially in fog, haze, or poor weather conditions. Given Delhi's significant visibility issues during winter, updating this technology is crucial.
Why the Upgrade?
The Instrument Landing System (ILS) on runway RW 10/28 will be upgraded. When will operations resume?
Flight operations on this runway will resume on September 15th. The upgrade work on the Instrument Landing System (ILS) on runway RW 10/28 is expected to be completed by November 27th.
