A harrowing incident in the Sagar Pur area of Delhi has left everyone stunned. On Saturday afternoon, around 1:30 PM, a father murdered his 10-year-old son by stabbing him, reportedly due to the child's insistence on playing in the rain.
According to the police, the accused father, A. Roy, in a fit of rage over the child's persistence, grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed him directly in the chest. In a grave condition, the father himself took his son to the nearby Dada Dev Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Accused was under mental stress
After the incident, the police reached the scene, arrested the accused, and registered a case under murder charges. The knife used in the crime has also been recovered. The police are now also investigating the mental state of the accused.
Local residents and neighbors stated that A. Roy was financially very weak and worked as a daily wage laborer. His wife had passed away a few years ago, after which he was raising four children alone. Neighbors say that he had been under mental stress for a long time and was often seen being silent or irritated.
