The first terrorist has been identified as a resident of Delhi, while the second's name is Adnan, a resident of Madhya Pradesh. The arrest of both terrorists is the result of a joint operation by intelligence agencies and the Special Cell.

According to the police, the arrested terrorists were targeting crowded markets in Delhi. Their plan was to carry out large-scale IED explosions in the capital. Had this plot succeeded, a large number of civilian lives would have been at risk.
