The Congress’s foundation day ceremony was held at the party headquarters, Indira Bhavan. On this occasion, a personal meeting also took place between Digvijay Singh and Rahul Gandhi. According to sources, as the two leaders greeted each other, Rahul Gandhi jokingly told Digvijay Singh, "You made a mistake yesterday." This comment caused laughter among senior leaders present at the ceremony, including Sonia Gandhi.
This lighthearted joke later became the subject of discussion on social media and within party circles, as it occurred shortly after Digvijay Singh’s post which had already caused unease within the party.

On Saturday, before the Congress Working Committee meeting, Digvijay Singh shared an old photograph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani. Along with it, he praised the discipline and organizational strength of the RSS-BJP organization. In his post, he wrote, “I came across this picture. It is very impressive. How a grassroots RSS volunteer and Jan Sangh and BJP worker, sitting at the feet of leaders, became a state Chief Minister and the country's Prime Minister. This is the power of the organization. Jai Siya Ram.”
This post sparked serious discussion within the party. Congress leader Pawan Khera reacted sharply, saying that Gandhi’s organization does not need to learn from Godse’s organization.
Digvijay Singh’s Clarification
Following criticism within the party, Singh clarified that his post was limited to acknowledging organizational discipline and was not an appreciation of political ideology.
