Delhi University's NCWEB Releases Fifth Cutoff List, B.Com Admissions Still Open for Some

DU NCWEB Releases Fifth Cutoff List. Opportunity for B.Com program admissions still available with 40-45% marks, while BA program seats have filled up rapidly. A special cutoff will be released on September 8.

DU NCWEB Admission 2025: The Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) of Delhi University (DU) has released its fifth cutoff list for admissions to undergraduate courses. This list shows more opportunities for seats in the B.Com program, while options for the BA program have become limited. Admissions are still possible with 40% marks in many colleges for the general category.

Over 11,500 admissions out of 15,200 seats

Professor Geeta Bhatt, Director of NCWEB, informed that out of a total of 15,200 seats, over 11,500 seats have already been filled after four cutoff lists. While there are still admission opportunities in many colleges for the B.Com program, seats for the BA program are decreasing rapidly.

Limited opportunities in BA Program

For the History-Political Science combination in the BA program, seats in the general category have been filled in most colleges. Out of 26 college centers, admission opportunities remain in only five colleges. The cutoff in these colleges includes Aditi College and Bhagini Nivedita College at 40%, JDM College at 63%, Deshbandhu College at 48%, and Aurobindo College at 40%.

Cutoffs for Reserved Categories

Female students in the OBC category may get admission opportunities with 35-45% marks. In the SC category, seats in 14 colleges have been filled, while 12 colleges still offer admission opportunities with 35-40% marks. The cutoffs for ST, EWS, and PWD categories have ranged between 35-45%.

More opportunities in B.Com Program

This year, there are more opportunities for female students in the general category for the B.Com program. While admissions have closed in seven out of 26 colleges, admissions are still possible with 40-45% marks in the remaining colleges.

Admissions can be secured at Mata Sundri College and Keshav Mahavidyalaya at 50%. Hansraj College offers admission opportunities for OBC at 70%, for ST at 65%, for EWS at 70%, and for PWD at 65% marks. Miranda House has set a cutoff of 65% for all reserved categories.

Further Admission Process and Special Cutoff

The admission process will be completed on September 2 and 3, with the last date for fee submission set as September 5. For students who cannot secure admission in the fifth cutoff, a special cutoff will be released on September 8. This will be the final opportunity.

Cutoff Reduction to Fill Seats

Professor Geeta Bhatt stated that a significant reduction in the cutoff has been made for the fifth list to fill the seats. Seats, particularly for the OBC and ST categories, are still vacant due to the relatively lower number of female students from these sections in Delhi.
