Gold and silver prices declined marginally on April 10, 2026, amid fluctuations in global markets and a slight moderation in domestic demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), both precious metals traded in negative territory during morning trade, although the extent of the decline remained limited.
Gold prices registered a modest decline, with 24-carat gold on MCX quoted at ₹1,52,783 per 10 grams at around 10:00 am, down approximately ₹651. During the session, gold touched a low of ₹1,52,561 and a high of ₹1,52,985, indicating continued intra-day volatility without any sharp correction.
Silver prices also remained under pressure. On MCX, silver was priced at ₹2,42,468 per kilogram, reflecting a decline of around ₹1,300. During the day, silver recorded a low of ₹2,42,067 and a high of ₹2,42,954, indicating range-bound trading.

Gold Prices Vary Across Key Cities
Gold prices showed slight variation across major cities, reflecting differences driven by local taxes and demand conditions. In Patna, gold was priced at ₹1,52,480 per 10 grams, the lowest among the listed cities. Jaipur reported prices at ₹1,52,650, while Lucknow and Kanpur recorded ₹1,52,710. Bhopal and Indore reported the highest prices at ₹1,52,830 per 10 grams.
Silver Prices Show City-Wise Differences
Silver prices also varied across cities. In Patna, silver was priced at ₹2,42,720 per kilogram. Jaipur recorded ₹2,43,130, while Lucknow and Kanpur reported ₹2,43,230. Bhopal and Indore recorded the highest price at ₹2,43,420 per kilogram.
Commodity experts stated that, given current global economic conditions, the likelihood of a sharp decline in gold prices remains limited.
