Lucknow, Gomtinagar — The dream of a common family: their own land, their own home. But a few years ago, it was about depositing a few rupees, the promise of completing documents, and then... wait, dispute, and deception.
Some Disturbing Accounts:
Girish Pant's Plight
In 1982, he acquired a 200 sq. meter plot, paid installments, and received receipts. In 1985, the LDA allocated plot C1/326 in Gomtinagar. However… he never received possession. Now, it is being stated that the plot is not even available, and what was available went to others.
Maya Rai's Contradictory Tale
She was allotted a plot in Vinay Khand and deposited the money. However, at the time of possession, the LDA claimed, “Payment was not made,” and the same plot was then given to someone else.
Pushpa's predicament is not from afar, but right here in our own Barabanki. Registration was done, money was paid, documents were completed, but then a problem arose with the scheme or the map. And then… nothing.
Chandresh Khanna's Predicament
His mother bought a plot in Sector 4, Gomtinagar, and it was registered in 2008, but the issue of possession kept getting postponed. Assurances were given that necessary action would be taken, but nothing substantial materialized.
People's Demands and the Administration's Silence
Now, the public is demanding an SIT investigation into how all these fraudulent allocations occurred and who is behind this mess. The LDA Vice Chairman stated that the matter is in the Supreme Court and that they will take action once the court's orders are received.
