The glamorous world of Bollywood often portrays only stories of stardom, glamour, and fame. However, the struggles of the individuals behind these stars, especially their wives, whose hardships remain unseen by the camera, are rarely understood.
Sunita Ahuja On Govinda: Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, recently opened up about her experiences and challenges as the wife of a film star. She shared that being an actor's wife in this industry requires a "heart of stone," as actors often spend most of their time with their co-actresses. Emotional strength is crucial in such a scenario.
Sunita also acknowledged that trusting her spouse is paramount, understanding the nature of his profession. She explained that when she gave birth to her two children, Tina and Yashvardhan Ahuja, Govinda was busy with outdoor shoots.
Being a Hero's Wife Demands a Heart of Stone
In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Sunita Ahuja's pain was evident when she said, "Being a hero's wife requires you to develop a heart of stone." She explained that actors in the film industry spend considerable time with their co-actresses, which can be mentally challenging for any wife.
Sunita shared that when her children were born, Govinda was often occupied with outdoor shoots. During these times, she single-handedly managed the responsibilities of motherhood. She stated that the most delicate time for a mother is when she is with her newborn, and if the husband is away during this period, it requires immense courage.
Trust is the Cornerstone of a Relationship
Sharing her innermost feelings, Sunita emphasized that a relationship cannot last long if a wife constantly doubts her husband's actions and company on set. She added that without trust, the foundation of any relationship weakens. According to her, suspecting infidelity can ruin a life; suspicion acts like poison in a relationship. "How can you stay together for 30-40 years without trust?" she questioned.
Support from In-Laws
Sunita Ahuja also mentioned that after marriage, she lived with her mother-in-law for 13 years. She stated that her mother-in-law instilled good values in her and taught her how to live harmoniously in a joint family. She also acknowledged that Govinda loved his mother dearly and learned the difference between right and wrong from her. "Govinda never did anything wrong," Sunita said emotionally. "He has always been dedicated to his family."
