Minor Driver on Black-Film Car Causes Havoc, Injures 15 in Gwalior

In Gwalior, a minor car driver caused havoc for about 300 meters with a car fitted with black film, colliding with 10 vehicles and injuring 15 people. A traffic policeman dangled from the bonnet, and the police arrested the minor.

Gwalior: A minor caused havoc on the city roads on Wednesday morning. Driving a car with black film, they recklessly collided with several vehicles, injuring 15 people. Among the injured are a woman and a traffic policeman. The police attempted to stop the car, but the minor accelerated and terrorized the roads for approximately 300 meters.

Minor Caused Terror for 300 Meters

Eyewitnesses reported that the minor driver lost complete control of the car. Screams and panic erupted wherever the car passed. The vehicle hit several people standing on the roadside and approximately 8-10 other vehicles. 15 people were injured in this accident, with four reported to be in serious condition.

Local residents and passersby fled to safety in fear. Property belonging to several people was also damaged. During the incident, the minor driver ignored all warnings and continued to drive the car, leaving behind an eerie silence on the road.

Minor Driver Taken into Custody

In the Padav police station area, traffic police attempted to stop the minor driver. Constable Atul Sharma tried to stop the car by climbing onto its bonnet, but the driver accelerated the vehicle with him dangling on the bonnet for about 200 meters. The constable sustained serious injuries during this ordeal.

Subsequently, the car hit a woman while trying to escape and injured passersby. The police immediately initiated strict action and, with the help of local residents, apprehended the minor driver and took them into custody.

Injured Being Treated in Hospital

Constable Atul Sharma, injured in the accident, was admitted to the hospital in a serious condition. He suffered severe injuries to his head and hand. Meanwhile, the injured woman and other victims are also receiving treatment at the hospital.

The police stated that the minor was driving the vehicle without the permission of their family. The minor's negligence and blatant disregard for road safety rules are evident in this incident. Legal action is also likely to be taken against the minor's family.

Police Arrested the Minor

Alok Parihar, the SHO of Padav police station, announced that a special surveillance drive will be conducted on cars with blacked-out windows and those without number plates. A case has been registered against the minor driver, and they have been arrested. The police are also ensuring that such incidents are prevented from recurring in the city.

The local administration has appealed to the public to immediately report any suspicious vehicle to the police. Additional checking campaigns will be launched to enhance safety on the city roads and to control driving by minors.
