Baghauni: In Baghauni village of Bahedi police station area, a disturbed husband, Lalbabu Das, stabbed his wife Suchitra Devi to death with scissors. Upon receiving information about the incident, the police took swift action and arrested the accused husband. Preliminary investigations revealed that the motive for the murder was the wife's love affair with a local youth, which Lalbabu opposed.
Bahedi Station House Officer Suraj Gupta stated that the body has been sent to DMC Hospital for post-mortem, and an FSL team has been called to conduct a detailed investigation into the matter.
Suchitra's love affair with a village youth became the cause of dispute
According to villagers, Suchitra was in a love affair with a youth from the village. Lalbabu opposed this relationship, and the couple frequently engaged in disputes and physical altercations. Consequently, there was constant tension in the household.
On August 26th of this month, Suchitra suddenly eloped to Delhi with her three-year-old daughter, Srishti, to be with her lover. Upon learning this, Lalbabu left for Delhi the very next day to bring his wife back home.
Lalbabu murdered his wife
Sources indicate that when Lalbabu reached Delhi, Suchitra had already returned to her home on Saturday, August 30th. On Sunday, as soon as Lalbabu returned home, he attacked his wife with scissors, killing her. The attack was so severe that the wife died on the spot. The police were informed immediately after the incident, and upon arrival, they took possession of the body. The accused husband was promptly arrested.
Police arrested the accused
Bahedi Station House Officer Suraj Gupta informed that the accused has been arrested. An FSL team has been summoned to collect evidence from the crime scene. Preliminary investigations suggest that the primary causes of the murder were the love affair and family disputes.
The police station administration stated that further legal action will be taken after receiving an application from the deceased's maternal family. The police are fully engaged and will expedite the legal process against the accused.
Grief and concern in the village over the murder
Villagers and the deceased's family members are in shock over this incident. Suchitra had married Lalbabu five years ago, and they have a three-year-old child. Villagers mentioned that the couple frequently had disputes and fights over the love affair, but this murder is a shocking and tragic event for the entire area.
