Indian Air Force Station in Jorhat, Assam, witnessed an accident on Saturday when an Indian Air Force AN-32 transport aircraft crashed during landing. The aircraft is typically used for transporting supplies and logistics material.
According to initial information, the aircraft was carrying supply material and was attempting to land on the runway as part of a routine procedure at the Jorhat Air Base when the accident occurred. During the landing process, the aircraft reportedly lost control on the runway.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation has been initiated. The force said it would be premature to draw conclusions before a detailed report is available.
