There have been three notable developments related to employment and recruitment processes in February 2026 affecting students and job aspirants across India.
Indira Gandhi National Open University has announced a pan-India placement drive to be held from February 10 to February 13 across six cities. The placement drive will be conducted at IGNOU regional centres and will provide current and former students with the opportunity to attend interviews with private sector companies. Participation in the placement drive will require prior registration. According to the university, the initiative is aimed at connecting students who have completed their education through distance learning with mainstream employment opportunities.

In Rajasthan, the Rajasthan Public Service Commission has decided to make public the complete marks obtained by candidates in all recruitment examinations conducted by the commission. Until now, only selection lists and cut-off marks were released, while candidates seeking their individual scores had to rely on applications under the Right to Information Act or wait for extended periods. The commission’s decision applies to all competitive examinations conducted by RPSC.
Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board is preparing to implement a system under which a single examination will be conducted annually for posts of a similar nature. Under the proposed arrangement, the scorecard from the examination will be published on the MPESB website and used for recruitment across multiple departments. The move is intended to streamline recruitment timelines and reduce the need for candidates to apply and appear for multiple examinations.
