India Blasts Pakistan at UN, Citing Terrorism and Extremism

India at UN Brands Pakistan as Drenched in Terrorism and Extremism. Ambassador Harish stated that India desires peace but will respond to terrorist attacks strategically.

New Delhi: India's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Security Council, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, launched a scathing attack on Pakistan. Branding Pakistan as being steeped in terrorism and extremism, he stated that this country repeatedly takes loans from the IMF and spreads instability in neighboring countries. India, mentioning the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, warned that terrorism would not be tolerated under any circumstances. India also referred to its retaliatory military operation 'Operation Sindoor,' which was limited, restrained, and precise.

India Corners Pakistan at the UN

At the United Nations Security Council meeting, India directly attacked Pakistan. India's Permanent Representative and senior diplomat, Ambassador Parvathaneni Harish, questioned Pakistan's role, stating that it is a country that repeatedly talks about peace on international platforms but in practice promotes terrorism.

During the meeting, which was themed "Multilateralism and peaceful resolution of disputes," Harish said that until a zero-tolerance policy is adopted towards terrorism, the talk of global peace is incomplete and hollow.

Comparison of India and Pakistan

Comparing the policies of India and Pakistan, Ambassador Harish said, "On one hand, there is India, a mature democracy, an emerging economy, and an inclusive society. On the other hand, there is Pakistan - gripped by terrorism and religious extremism, and a country that repeatedly seeks loans from the IMF."

He emphasized that it is an insult to the entire global community if countries like Pakistan, which themselves harbor terrorist organizations, talk about human rights and peace on international platforms.

Mention of the Pahalgam Terrorist Attack

The Ambassador also mentioned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In this attack, 26 tourists lost their lives. He said that such incidents are direct evidence of cross-border terrorism, which are attempts to undermine India's peace and stability.

Revelation of Operation Sindoor

In response to the Pahalgam attack, India launched 'Operation Sindoor.' Under this military operation, the hideouts of terrorists located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) were targeted with precision.

Ambassador Harish said, "This operation was focused, restrained, and non-provocative. India only targeted terrorist structures, and when the main objectives of the operation were fulfilled, it was stopped at Pakistan's request."

India's Policy on Terrorism is Clear

Ambassador Harish stated that India is a supporter of global peace and multilateral cooperation, but its policy against terrorism is clear and unwavering. India believes that until terrorism is eradicated from its roots, talk of development and stability will remain incomplete. Pakistan has been orchestrating terrorist attacks on India for years. This includes the 26/11 Mumbai attack to recent incidents like Pahalgam.

India Had Lashed Out at Pakistan in May as Well

Ambassador Harish had previously taken Pakistan to task in the United Nations Security Council in May 2025 as well. At that time, the topic of discussion was:
"Confronting emerging threats and protecting civilians, media personnel and UN staff."

Harish had said that it is an irony for countries like Pakistan, which orchestrate attacks on civilians, to discuss the protection of civilians. Pakistan's terror policy is a strategy to weaken India's development and morale, but India will not bow down to any such attempts.
