In the Hockey Asia Cup 2025, the Indian Men's Hockey Team delivered another stellar performance, defeating Kazakhstan by a massive margin of 15-0 in their final league match of Pool A.

With this victory, they have secured the top spot in Pool A and advanced to the Super-4. Although the Indian team had already confirmed their Super-4 ticket before the match began, this resounding win ensured their number-one position in the group.
Abhishek was the star performer for India, scoring an impressive four goals (5th, 8th, 20th, and 59th minutes). Sukhjeet Singh (15th, 32nd, 38th) and Jugraj Singh (24th, 31st, 47th) both netted hat-tricks. Captain Harmanpreet Singh (26th), Amit Rohidas (29th), Rajinder Singh (32nd), Sanjay Singh (54th), and Dilpreet Singh (55th) also contributed goals, making this victory historic for the team.
Indian Players Unleash Goal-Scoring Blitz
In this lopsided encounter, Indian forwards and midfielders unleashed a torrent of goals. Abhishek scored four goals in the 5th, 8th, 20th, and 59th minutes. Sukhjeet Singh completed his hat-trick with goals in the 15th, 32nd, and 38th minutes. Meanwhile, Jugraj Singh netted three goals in the 24th, 31st, and 47th minutes to also complete his hat-trick.
Additionally, captain Harmanpreet Singh (26th minute), Amit Rohidas (29th), Rajinder Singh (32nd), Sanjay Singh (54th), and Dilpreet Singh (55th) etched their names on the score sheet.
Indian Team Dominated from the Start
India displayed aggressive play right from the opening minutes of the match. Abhishek opened India's account in the fifth minute with a reverse shot. He scored his second goal three minutes later. Before the end of the first quarter, Sukhjeet added a third goal, making the score 3-0. Kazakhstan earned a penalty corner but failed to convert it. India continued their relentless attacks thereafter. Jugraj scored from a penalty corner in the 23rd minute, and Harmanpreet extended the lead to 6-0 with a flick in the 26th minute. Amit Rohidas scored another goal just before halftime, giving India a commanding 7-0 lead at the break.
India intensified their attacks in the second half. Jugraj converted a penalty stroke for his second goal. Subsequently, Rajinder and Sukhjeet scored rapid goals, taking the score to 10-0. The Indian offensive continued into the fourth quarter. Sanjay Singh capitalized on a penalty corner, and Jugraj completed his hat-trick by scoring his third goal. Dilpreet then scored in the 55th minute. With just one minute left in the match, Abhishek netted his fourth goal, sealing India's historic 15-0 victory.
