Pre-Monsoon Activities to Bring Relief from Scorching Heatwave Across India

Relief is in sight for those battling the prolonged heatwave and scorching heat across much of the country. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) anticipates the onset of pre-monsoon activities in North India starting today, May 1st.

Weather Update: The intense heat and heatwave sweeping the nation are expected to ease, according to the latest weather forecast. However, the IMD predicts a change in weather patterns across many parts of the country starting today.

This period may see thunderstorms, rain, and b winds in several states, including Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. A yellow alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for the northeastern states.
