Indian Women's Hockey Team Dominates Korea 4-2 to Extend Asia Cup 2025 Winning Streak

The Indian women's hockey team continued its winning streak in the Asia Cup 2025, defeating Korea 4-2 in their first Super 4 stage match. With this victory, the Indian team maintained its b performance in Pool B, retaining the top position with seven points. 

Sports News: The Indian women's hockey team has continued its spectacular performance in the Asia Cup, defeating Korea 4-2 in their first Super Four stage match. This was India's fourth victory out of six matches against Korea. The Indian team, which is at the top of Pool B with seven points, displayed excellent gameplay in the match. 

For India, Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke scored a goal in the second minute, Sangita Kumari extended the score in the 33rd minute, Lalremsiami scored in the 40th minute, and Rutuja Dadaso Pisal netted the fourth goal in the 59th minute. With this win, India's winning streak in the Asia Cup continued, and the team made a b stride towards the final.

India Showed Aggressive Play 

The goal scorers for India included Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke (2nd minute), Sangita Kumari (33rd minute), Lalremsiami (40th minute), and Rutuja Dadaso Pisal (59th minute). Notably, Rutuja's final goal proved to be decisive in securing India's victory. For Korea, Yujin Kim scored both goals in the 33rd and 53rd minutes, but Korea could not avoid defeat against India's brilliant strategy and determination.

India started the match with aggressive play. Within the initial minutes, India earned a penalty corner, and Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke capitalized on a rebound to open India's account. Following this, Sangita Kumari strengthened India's lead with a field goal in the 33rd minute. In the 40th minute, Lalremsiami made the score 3-1, extending India's advantage. 

Korea continued their efforts and scored through Yujin Kim to make it 2-3, but in the final minute, Rutuja Dadaso Pisal scored to seal India's victory.
