Iran Admits US Airstrikes Caused Significant Damage to Nuclear Sites

Iranian President Pezeshkian Confirms Significant Damage to Nuclear Sites in US Attacks, Citing Lack of Access.

US Attack: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has, for the first time, acknowledged that three major Iranian nuclear facilities suffered significant damage in US airstrikes on June 22nd. He stated that the government has yet to fully assess the extent of the damage due to the inability of Iranian teams to access the sites. He also hinted at potential discussions with the United Nations' nuclear agency.

Iranian Government Speaks Out After US Air Strikes

President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran has publicly admitted that US air strikes have seriously impacted their nuclear program. He confirmed that the attacks on June 22nd caused extensive damage to the three nuclear facilities located in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. However, Iranian teams have still not been able to reach these sites, preventing a full assessment of the actual damage.

'Unable to Access Sites Yet': Pezeshkian

In a television interview, President Pezeshkian stated, "Our scientists and technical experts have not been able to access these locations. It will take more time for us to reach and evaluate them. Therefore, we ourselves do not know how severe the damage is."

Ready for Talks with UN Watchdog

Pezeshkian also clarified that Iran is open to cooperation with the United Nations' nuclear watchdog, the IAEA. He said, "We do not shy away from dialogue. We are ready for inspections and supervision. But in these circumstances, when our nuclear centers have been bombed, we need both restraint and time."

Attacks Targeted Three Key Facilities

The focus of the US attacks was on Iran's three sensitive nuclear facilities – Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. According to reports, bombs were dropped on Fordow with their full payloads, causing significant damage to the installed centrifuges and technical equipment there. Extensive damage is also suspected in Natanz and Isfahan.
