A citywide cleanliness drive will be conducted in Jaipur on April 18 under the ‘Safai Seva Marathon-2026’, covering 13 zones and 150 wards simultaneously from 7 am to 9 pm.
The Jaipur Municipal Corporation will organise a coordinated sanitation campaign across the city, with officials, employees and sanitation workers deployed in their respective areas throughout the day.
According to the municipal corporation, a synchronised cleaning operation will be implemented across Jaipur from 7 am to 9 pm on April 18. Roads, drains, public places, markets, parks, residential areas and sensitive locations will be cleaned during the अभियान.
All concerned officials will remain present in the field to directly monitor sanitation work, with the administration stating that this will enhance transparency and effectiveness.
The municipal corporation has divided the city into 13 zones and 150 wards for the campaign, assigning dedicated teams for cleaning, waste disposal and monitoring in each zone.
The administration stated that conducting the drive simultaneously across the city is expected to improve overall cleanliness and increase public awareness on sanitation.
The campaign will include an evaluation of officials and employees associated with sanitation work. The municipal corporation has decided to determine rankings of Cleanliness Sanitary Inspectors (CSI).
Areas demonstrating better cleanliness, coordination and management during the campaign will be recognised, with officials and teams awarded accordingly.
The municipal corporation has announced incentive amounts for outstanding performance. The first-ranked CSI will receive Rs 21,000, their team’s Sanitary Inspector (SI) will receive Rs 11,000, and each Jamadar will receive Rs 1,100.
Teams securing second and third positions will receive incentive amounts of Rs 11,000 and Rs 5,100 respectively. The funds will be provided under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by the Rajasthan Solar Association.
The municipal corporation has also introduced recognition initiatives to motivate sanitation workers. Employees delivering notable performance will be awarded titles such as ‘Swachhta Hero’ and ‘Star of Nagar Nigam’.
Photographs of selected employees will be displayed at the municipal corporation office for one month.
Municipal Commissioner Om Kasera stated that the campaign is not limited to administrative activity but is intended to involve citizens.
Residents have been urged to participate actively by maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings, avoiding littering and supporting municipal efforts.
Jaipur, known for its historical heritage, tourism and cultural identity, is prioritising improvements in cleanliness and public systems.
The ‘Safai Seva Marathon-2026’ is aimed at strengthening the city’s sanitation framework and enhancing its standing in national cleanliness standards.
