Police are now set to conduct DNA testing in the investigation of the shocking double murder that occurred on December 8th in Gauriyana village, Ahmedpur Cantonment, Jaunpur. This is expected to aid in uncovering the mystery surrounding the murders and gathering concrete evidence.
According to police, the murders of retired locomotive pilot Shyam Bahadur and his wife, Babita Devi, were allegedly committed by their son, Ambesh Kumar. He is accused of dismembering the bodies of both parents into six pieces using a TMT cutter, packing them into cement sacks, and dumping them into the Gomti River.
The investigation team has now decided to conduct DNA tests on the recovered body parts to confirm whether they indeed belong to the deceased couple, and to determine if anyone else may be involved in the investigation. This is likely to help reveal several mysterious aspects of the case.
Initial investigations by the police have focused on family disputes at the time of the murder and the activities leading up to the incident. However, obtaining scientific evidence through DNA testing will strengthen the proceedings. The timing and direction of further action will be determined after the next investigation report is available.
