The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has issued the official notification for the recruitment of 7,299 Assistant Teacher posts under JSSC Teacher Recruitment 2026. Eligible and interested candidates can submit online applications through the commission's official website from July 31, 2026, to August 30, 2026. Candidates who have qualified JTET, CTET, or Teacher Eligibility Tests (TET) conducted by other states are also eligible to apply.
The recruitment drive will fill a total of 7,299 Assistant Teacher vacancies in government schools across Jharkhand. According to the official notification, the vacancies include 1,909 posts for the Intermediate Trained category, 847 Intermediate Trained backlog posts, 4,192 Graduate Trained category posts, and 351 Graduate Trained backlog posts.
The online application process will begin on July 31, 2026, and remain open until August 30, 2026. Candidates who need to make corrections to their application forms will be able to use the correction window from September 5 to September 7, 2026.
Under the recruitment notification, candidates who have qualified the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET), the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), or Teacher Eligibility Tests conducted by other states will be eligible to apply. Applicants are required to review the eligibility criteria and other qualifications specified in the official notification before submitting their applications.
After the application process begins, candidates must register on the official JSSC website and complete the online application form by providing the required personal, educational, and other details. Applicants must also upload the prescribed documents, photograph, and signature, pay the applicable application fee, and submit the completed form. Candidates are advised to retain a printed copy of the submitted application for future reference.
