Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana secured victories in the Division A of the Junior Men's National Hockey Championship on Sunday, while Chandigarh and Delhi earned the distinction of being promoted to Division A with their respective wins.

Sports News: The competition was intensely exciting on the first day of Division A of the Junior Men's National Hockey Championship 2025. In the matches played on Sunday, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana had victorious starts. Meanwhile, Chandigarh and Delhi also secured promotion to Division A for the next year by winning their respective matches.

Odisha, Haryana Displayed Excellent Game

In the first match of Division A, Odisha made a remarkable comeback against Karnataka. After trailing by a goal, Odisha, thanks to its players' excellent game strategy at a crucial moment, turned the match into a 2-1 victory. This win gave the team a significant boost of confidence on the very first day. Odisha's players displayed an aggressive and strategic game in every second, making it clear that the team is a b contender for the title in this tournament.

Haryana delivered a brilliant performance against Manipur in Pool C and defeated them 5-0. This impressive victory propelled Haryana to the top position in Pool C. The excellent teamwork and goal-scoring ability of Haryana's players put pressure on the opposing team.

Victories for Uttar Pradesh and Punjab

In Pool B, Uttar Pradesh defeated Jharkhand 2-0. Uttar Pradesh's team outplayed the opposition with their b defense and fast attacks. Meanwhile, in Pool A, Punjab defeated Madhya Pradesh 3-2.
