Kiren Rijiju Slams Rahul Gandhi's 'Dead Economy' Remark, Cites Damage to India's Image

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has bly reacted to Rahul Gandhi's 'dead economy' statement. He stated that such statements harm the country's image and that the opposition leader should speak responsibly.

Dead Economy: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has reacted sharply to the controversial statement made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding India's economy. He said that such irresponsible remarks are not expected from a senior leader like Rahul Gandhi. Rijiju stated that this statement is not only an attack on the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister but also detrimental to the country's global image.

Rahul Gandhi gets stuck supporting Trump's statement

Recently, US President Donald Trump had termed the economies of India and Russia as "dead economies." Supporting Trump's statement on this, Rahul Gandhi had said, "What Trump said is a fact. Everyone knows this, except Prime Minister Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman." Politics heated up after this statement.

'Such statements hurt the nation's honor'

Rijiju said, "Rahul Gandhi should understand that he is not a small leader. He is the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. When he makes such a statement, the whole world takes it seriously. Maintaining the nation's honor is our collective responsibility."

BJP leaders retaliate

Besides Rijiju, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya also targeted Rahul Gandhi, saying, "If anything is dead, it is Rahul Gandhi's political credibility and legacy." He alleged that Rahul Gandhi is trying to weaken India's image on the international stage.

Differences within Congress as well

Disagreement has emerged within the Congress as well regarding Rahul Gandhi's statement. Senior Congress leaders Shashi Tharoor, Rajya Sabha MP Rajeev Shukla, and MP Karti Chidambaram criticized Trump's statement and distanced themselves from Rahul's stance. These leaders believe that calling India's economy dead is not only factually incorrect but also irresponsible.
