Earlier reports suggested that this updated model would arrive in 2026, but now the company is preparing to launch it in the market as early as September 2025. Major Changes in Exterior Design

The new Mahindra Thar 2025 will see several design updates. It incorporates design elements inspired by the Thar. The front will feature a new grille with double-stacked slats, giving it a more robust look than before. The design of the headlamps has also been changed and will feature modern lighting setups. The bumper has been slightly updated, making the SUV's front look even bolder.

There are no major changes to the side profile, although new alloy wheels will give it a fresh look. At the rear, there is a new bumper and newly designed tail lamps. In addition, this facelift may include some new color options, giving customers more choices.

High-Tech Features in the Interior

The interior of the new Thar will be more premium and technologically advanced than before. It will feature a large touchscreen infotainment system that supports the latest UI. The new Mahindra Thar facelift will retain the engine options from the old model. It will feature a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine that generates 152 bhp of power. As for the diesel engine, 1.5-liter and 2.2-liter turbo diesel options will be available, producing 119 bhp and 130 bhp of power respectively.

For transmission, 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic units will be offered. In the driving setup, customers will get both RWD (rear-wheel drive) and 4WD (four-wheel drive) options. This means that customers will be able to choose a variant according to their needs and driving style.
