Malegaon Blast Case: Acquittal Sparks Political Outcry and Accusations

The acquittal of all accused in the Malegaon blast case by the court on July 31 has sparked a political storm. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, in his first reaction to the verdict, termed it a political signal and a potential conspiracy. Speaking to the media in the Parliament premises, he said that if someone is guilty, they should be punished because that is the sentiment of the public, but the timing of this decision raises questions.

Akhilesh Says - Another News Brought to Suppress One News?

Akhilesh Yadav said that he has not yet read the full court verdict, but in such a serious case, if someone had been found guilty, they should have been punished. He said that in such cases, the general public expects the law to do its job properly. However, he also added that one should also consider whether this matter has suddenly come into the limelight to suppress some bigger news.

The SP chief also pointed towards recent events in America and China's aggressive policies, saying that the country is facing serious issues like tariffs, security, and economic situation, but some news is being highlighted to divert the public's attention. He warned the government that neighboring countries are harming India's trade and economy, and in such a situation, it is necessary to focus on these important issues.

Verbal War Between Ruling and Opposition After Verdict

After the court's decision, Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi also reacted and said that this decision is not justice but only the result of a process. He expressed his displeasure regarding this. At the same time, BJP MP Dinesh Sharma retorted by saying that the former UPA government deliberately ran the narrative of saffron terrorism to defame Hindus, which has now been rejected by the court.

Saint Community and BJP MPs Welcome the Decision

National General Secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti, Swami Jitendranand Saraswati, welcomed the court's decision and thanked the judicial process. Meanwhile, BJP MP Ravi Kishan also gave his reaction regarding the court's decision. He said who will account for the lost lives of those who have faced charges in this case for the last 17 years? Targeting Congress, he said that the leaders who coined the term 'saffron terrorism' should now apologize to 100 crore Hindus.

It is noteworthy that the NIA court has acquitted all the accused, including Sadhvi Pragya Thakur and Colonel Purohit, in the Malegaon blast case due to lack of evidence. Political rhetoric has intensified after the verdict, and more political reactions are likely to be seen on this in the coming days.
