Bhiwani. Manisha, the 19-year-old teacher who was found dead in mysterious circumstances on August 13th, was cremated in Bhiwani on Thursday. Local residents, relatives, and officials were present in large numbers and paid their respects to the teacher. Her death has created an atmosphere of grief throughout the region.
Case Now in the Hands of the CBI
Haryana Police has decided to hand over the investigation of Manisha's death case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Haryana DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor stated in a press conference that this step was taken due to the demands of the family and the commitment of the state government. The CBI will now conduct an independent and thorough investigation of the entire matter.
Death Confirmed to be by Poisoning
DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor stated that the postmortem report clearly revealed that Manisha's death was caused by poisoning. The poison first spread to the internal organs and then reached the skin and upper parts of the body. The postmortem of the body was also conducted with videography to prevent any irregularities in the investigation.
Suicide Note Kept Private
The letter found in Manisha's bag has not been made public. The DGP stated that this decision was taken keeping in mind the privacy of the daughter and the impartiality of the investigation. It took time to confirm the suicide note, but it has now been ensured that the investigation will be conducted in a completely scientific and legal manner.
Context of the Incident and CCTV Evidence
The DGP also stated that Manisha had called the driver and told him that she would not be returning home. After this, she went to a pesticide shop. CCTV footage from the time of the incident is available, which will help in the investigation. According to initial information, the body was first seen in a field, where there was also a pack of stray dogs.
Temporary Suspension of Internet Services
Due to this matter, internet services in Bhiwani will remain suspended until 11 AM on August 22nd. The order from the Home Department stated that all internet services except voice calls will be suspended. The aim is to prevent the spread of rumors and false information.
Action Against Mischievous Elements
DGP Shatrujeet Kapoor also stated that action has been taken against elements that are taking undue advantage of the news of the case. The state government and police are focused on ensuring that the investigation is completed impartially and that no rumors or videos are viral.
