Starc, having played 100 Tests, is now only the second Australian fast bowler to achieve this feat. Before him, this record was held by legendary bowler Glenn McGrath. Mitchell Starc has also become the 15th Australian player overall to play 100 matches in Test cricket, which reflects his long and b cricketing journey.

Mitchell Starc's name is now included in the list of legendary fast bowlers who have played 100 or more matches in Tests. This list includes big names like James Anderson and Stuart Broad of England, Courtney Walsh of the West Indies, Glenn McGrath of Australia, Chaminda Vaas of Sri Lanka, Shaun Pollock and Makhaya Ntini of South Africa, Ishant Sharma of India, Tim Southee of New Zealand, and Wasim Akram of Pakistan.
