New Delhi: The fourth day of the Parliament's Monsoon Session was also almost entirely disrupted due to disputes and uproar. Uproar in Lok Sabha, Speaker's Sharp Remark

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla bly objected to the behavior of Congress members. He said that it is not expected from the country's oldest party that its MPs bring placards into the House, thump tables, and shout slogans. He said that this behavior is in front of the entire country and is against parliamentary decorum.

On Thursday, opposition MPs heavily protested against the SIR of the voter list in Bihar. This issue has been the center of discussion since the first day of the session. The MPs also protested at the Makar gate. The situation remained the same as in the first three days when no significant work could be done in the House due to uproar and protests.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav informed the Lok Sabha that necessary steps have been taken to make the salary distribution of contract employees transparent at the Modern Coach Factory (MCF) in Raebareli. This answer was given in response to a written question by Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi.

Impasse Continues in Rajya Sabha as well

The proceedings of the Rajya Sabha were also disrupted throughout the day due to the opposition parties' protests. Question Hour could not even begin, and eventually, the House proceedings were adjourned for the entire day after noon.

In the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, those six members were formally bid farewell whose terms are expiring. These members include AIADMK's P Wilson, M Chandrasekharan, DMK's M Mohammad Abdullah and N Shanmugam, PMK's Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss, and MDMK's M Vaiko. P Wilson has been re-elected to the Rajya Sabha.
