In Banda, a mother who intervened in a fight between her two sons died after a 'saang' pierced her chest. Police have sent the body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Banda: A family dispute took a horrific turn on Wednesday in the Gandhi Nagar area of Uttar Pradesh's Banda district. During an argument and fight between two brothers, Ajay and Jalandhar, their 55-year-old mother, Gundhi Devi, arrived to intervene. In a sudden fit of rage, one of the sons stabbed his mother in the chest with a 'saang', leading to her immediate death at the scene.
The incident caused a sensation in the neighborhood. Family members immediately took her to Rani Durgavati Medical College, but Gundhi Devi succumbed to her injuries on the way. Police have taken possession of the body, sent it for post-mortem, and commenced an investigation.
Domestic Dispute Between Two Brothers
According to information, a domestic dispute occurred between the two brothers, which quickly escalated. Ajay and Jalandhar went outside the house, near the chauri (shrine) of the Devi temple, and started fighting. Hearing the noise, their mother, Gundhi Devi, arrived at the scene and tried to calm them down.
In a fit of rage, one son took out a spear (saang) that was kept at the Devi shrine and stabbed it into his mother's chest. Severely injured, Gundhi Devi collapsed, bleeding profusely, and was immediately taken for treatment.
Police Register Murder Case
Upon receiving information about the incident, Kotwali police reached the spot. City CO Krishnakant Tripathi stated that the woman died due to a 'saang' piercing her chest. Police have sent the body for post-mortem, registered a case, and commenced an investigation.
Police stated that considering the seriousness of the case, all possible efforts are being made to identify and apprehend the culprits. Additionally, other family members are also being interrogated.

The incident plunged the family into deep sorrow. People in the neighborhood were seen expressing grief and concern. Police are also gathering information from local residents to fully uncover the incident.
