What is the story like?
The film's story revolves around two siblings based in London, Sanal Roy (Arjun Rampal) and Nikita (Sonakshi Sinha). Both believe that rationalism and science are the only truths and work against superstition and fake gurus prevalent in society. Sanal Roy aims to expose the famous but dubious spiritual guru Amardev (Paresh Rawal), but he dies in mysterious circumstances.
Is it murder or suicide? The police try to close the case by calling it a suicide, but Nikita, devoted to her brother, suspects foul play. Nikita, along with her friend Jolly (Suhail Nayyar), tries to get to the bottom of this death. In the process, she encounters strange events in Sanal's house, hears mysterious voices, and some truths come to light in a recording left by her brother, which shocks her.
The story gradually reaches a point where the question arises: is Amardev an ordinary human being, or is there a supernatural power working behind him?
Direction and Presentation of the Film
Kush Sinha has done a tremendous job of directing in his very first film. He has not resorted to loud music or scary makeup to show fear, but has instilled fear in the audience by slowly progressing each scene. The cinematography of the film is amazing. Suspense and fear have been beautifully woven into every frame. The script of the film is written by Pawan Kripalani, who is known for his thriller films.
The film's excellent cinematography, b screenplay, and slowly unfolding secrets keep the story interesting. The atmosphere and locations of London have been filmed in a great way, which creates an atmosphere of mystery and fear in every scene.
How was the acting?
1. Sonakshi Sinha (as Nikita Roy)
Sonakshi Sinha has given the most serious and restrained performance of her career in this film. In the role of Nikita, she sometimes appears as an emotional sister and sometimes as a fearless woman who can go to any extent for the truth. Sonakshi has played the pain, fear, stubbornness and fight for her mission very meticulously. This role can be called a milestone for her acting career.
2. Paresh Rawal (as Amardev)
Paresh Rawal's character Amardev is a spiritual guru whose truthfulness is questioned. Paresh Rawal has shown a tremendous mix of mystery, fear and cunning in his character. In every scene, he leaves a deep impression on the audience with his expressions and calm but mysterious style.
3. Suhail Nayyar (as Jolly)
Suhail Nayyar has played the role of Sonakshi's friend and ex-partner well. His character strengthens the emotional aspects of the film, but does not hinder the main mystery.
