Patanjali Yogpeeth Empowers Persons with Disabilities Through Free Artificial Limb Camp

A significant step towards the empowerment of persons with disabilities was taken at Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar. A two-day free artificial limb transplantation camp was organized here on July 26th and 27th, in which artificial hands, legs, calipers, and crutches were distributed free of cost to over 250 persons with disabilities. This public service camp was organized jointly by Patanjali Wellness and Uddhar Jeffries Nagpur.

The main objective of this camp was to make persons with disabilities self-reliant and to make their lives simpler, more dignified, and more empowered. A large number of beneficiaries from Haridwar and surrounding areas reached the camp, where, throughout the process, not only were they given the equipment, but also proper arrangements were made for their measurements, fitting, physiotherapy, and necessary consultations.

Camp to be Organized Every Three to Four Months

Seeing the success of the camp, the organizers have decided that such free camps will now be organized once every three to four months. At the closing ceremony, Swami Ramdev, the founder of Patanjali Yogpeeth, and Acharya Balkrishna, the Joint General Secretary, personally distributed the equipment to the beneficiaries and inspired them to become self-reliant. During this time, Swami Ramdev said that Patanjali's objective is not only to promote yoga and Ayurveda, but also to strengthen the spirit of harmony and cooperation by serving the needy sections of the society.

New Energy Infused into the Self-Confidence of Divine Souls

In the program, Swami Ramdev addressed the persons with disabilities as 'Divine Souls' and said that they need empowerment, not sympathy. He described this service as a small but effective step towards nation-building. Acharya Balkrishna, while interacting with the persons with disabilities, also said that Patanjali's goal is to make every citizen self-reliant, and that is true service to the nation.

The organization of this service endeavor was made possible with the cooperation of Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Uddhar Seva Samiti, experienced doctors, skilled technicians, and dedicated workers of the Patanjali Seva Department. Swami Videhdev, Swami Punyadev, sister Pooja, and many people associated with the management of the Uddhar Samiti were actively present in the event.

An Example of Public Service and National Service

This event not only became a means of physical assistance for persons with disabilities but also proved to be a source of inspiration to increase their morale and self-confidence. This initiative of Patanjali Yogpeeth demonstrates how deeply it is committed to human service and national service.

Many selfless workers, including Sanjay, Ruchika Agarwal, Shruti, Pradhuman, Ravi, Divyanshu, Krishna, Niharika, Divya, and Deendayal, played an important role in making the camp successful. This service camp was not only a means of help but also a b step towards positive change in the society.
