New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 184 newly constructed Type-VII multi-story flats for Members of Parliament on Baba Kharak Singh Marg in Delhi. He also planted a sapling and addressed the gathering on this occasion. PM Modi stated that the construction of these flats not only takes into account the needs of the MPs but also reflects the cultural unity of the country.
Complex Identified by Names of Rivers
PM Modi informed that the four towers of this residential complex have been named after four major rivers of India—Krishna, Godavari, Kosi, and Hugli. He said that these rivers are the basis of life for millions of people and connect different parts of the country. This naming is a symbol of India's unity and cultural heritage.
PM Modi's Taunt on the Opposition
In his address, PM Modi took a jibe at the opposition, saying that some people will have problems with these names as well. He said that if the name Kosi is used, they will see the Bihar elections instead of the Kosi River. He called this kind of thinking a sign of a "small mind" and said that the names of rivers are part of a tradition that connects the country.
Congratulations to MPs and Appreciation for Workers
The Prime Minister congratulated all the MPs on their new accommodations. He also appreciated the hard work of the engineers and workers involved in the construction. PM Modi said that this project would not have been possible without their hard work and dedication.

PM Modi mentioned that he had the opportunity to see the old MP residences, which had become dilapidated over time. MPs had to face daily problems. The Prime Minister said that 21st century India is as eager for development as it is sensitive. Referring to the inauguration of Kartavya Path and Kartavya Bhawan, he said that the country not only builds big projects but also does things like delivering water through pipes to crores of homes.
From Parliament Building to Medical Colleges
PM Modi said that today the country is building a new Parliament building, and at the same time, it is also preparing hundreds of new medical colleges. Every class and every society is getting the benefit of these facilities. He said that maintaining the sustainability and cleanliness of the MP residence complex is everyone's responsibility.
