Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Banswara, Rajasthan today, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multi-faceted development projects worth ₹42,000 crore. These projects include the Mahi-Banswara Atomic Power Plant, renewable energy projects, power transmission lines, drinking water schemes, roads, health facilities, and solar parks.
The Prime Minister shared information about this event on his social media handle, stating that this development package in Rajasthan will provide new strength to the energy security of the state and the country.
Details of Key Projects in Rajasthan
During Prime Minister Modi's visit, development works totaling over ₹1 lakh 22 thousand crore will be inaugurated and their foundation stones laid. These include:
Mahi-Banswara Atomic Power Plant
- 590 MW renewable energy project in Bikaner – ₹8,500 crore
- 15.5 GW power transmission lines in Jaisalmer, Barmer, Sirohi, Nagaur, and Bikaner – ₹13,183 crore
- 15 drinking water projects in 11 districts – ₹5,884 crore
- Major irrigation works worth ₹2,365 crore
- New roads, electricity substations, and sewerage projects
- New 250-bed hospital in Bharatpur
IT and E-Governance Centers: Through these projects, infrastructure, water conservation, and health services in the rural and urban areas of the state will receive a new impetus.
Nokh Solar Park and PM-KUSUM Scheme
- Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the Nokh Solar Park and other solar projects. These include:
- 1400 MW solar projects costing ₹10,710 crore
925 MW Nokh Solar Park in Phalodi
- Inauguration of decentralized solar plants under the PM-KUSUM Scheme (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan) – ₹3,132 crore
- These projects will increase solar power generation capacity in Rajasthan and provide additional income opportunities for farmers.
Special Focus on Youth and Employment
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi will also hand over appointment letters to more than 15,000 youths. Additionally, he will have the opportunity to interact with beneficiaries of the PM-KUSUM scheme. This step will create new opportunities for employment and skill development for the youth of the state. Prime Minister Modi stated in his message that the development program taking place in Rajasthan tomorrow will provide new strength to the country's energy security.
