Pranutan Bahl belongs to a famous family in the film industry. She is the daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl and the granddaughter of legendary actress Nutan. While she possesses a cinematic legacy, she still faced numerous challenges at the beginning of her career.
Bollywood is Not Easy for Star Kids
In an interview with HT, Pranutan Bahl openly shared that achieving success in the industry is not easy, even for a star kid. She mentioned that she was always around actors and the film environment, which helped her understand the complexities and struggles of the industry. Pranutan admitted that she often had to go through long periods without any projects, and she was mentally prepared for this.
She also added that for star kids whose parents are not connected to the film industry, this journey becomes even more challenging. They have to learn many things not only professionally but also personally.
No Family Help, Did Everything Herself
Pranutan Bahl also clarified that her family does not fund her films, and the advantage of being a star kid was limited only to her legacy. She stated, “Not every star kid gets everything easily, and I am a living example of that. It’s not true that I got everything easily just because I am an actor’s child. My family did not provide any funding for me.”
Pranutan began her auditions in 2016. After continuous hard work and struggle, she received an offer for her first film in 2018. Pranutan mentioned that she didn't have to deal with emotional turmoil and personal setbacks, which allowed her to handle the initial phase of the industry smoothly.
Regarding her work, Pranutan Bahl made her acting debut in 2019 with the film ‘Notebook.’ She starred alongside Zaheer Iqbal in this film, which was produced by Salman Khan. This film proved to be significant for her career.
