In **Prayagraj**, the district administration has freed land designated for an Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) unit and an EVM warehouse from the illegal possession of Mohammad Zaid, a relative of mafia leader Atiq Ahmed. This information has emerged in a Jagran report.
Zaid is accused of encroaching upon government land designated for drains and pathways, developing plots there, and subsequently selling some portions. In this case, the investigation report by the Sadar Tehsildar has assessed the land to be worth approximately 6 crore rupees.
The action was carried out under the instructions of District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma. The investigation also revealed that Zaid had carried out the illegal occupation along with his brother Jasim Ahmed and other associates.
Under the supervision of SDM Abhishek Kumar Singh, the Patwari and Revenue Inspector team formally freed this land after the investigation.
