The body of a young woman was recovered from a deserted area in Prayagraj several days after she was allegedly killed and dumped there, police said. Family members identified the remains based on clothing and other belongings after wild animals had severely damaged the body.
According to the family, the woman had been missing for several days. Relatives and acquaintances were contacted during the search, but no information about her whereabouts was found.
Police later received information about human remains lying in an isolated area and reached the spot to begin an investigation. Family members also arrived at the scene, where only bones and some body remains were found.
The victim’s mother demanded strict action against those responsible for the killing. She said, “I have lost one daughter, now I want four lives in return for one.”
Family members alleged that the young woman was murdered. Police have initiated an investigation into the case.
