Bihar: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched the Voter Rights Yatra in Bihar on Saturday to protest against vote theft and voter list irregularities. The Yatra commenced from Sasaram and will continue for 16 days, covering 25 districts of the state. On the second day of the Yatra, Rahul Gandhi reached Gaya from Aurangabad, where he was joined by Tejashwi Yadav and leaders of the Left parties. He accused the BJP and the Election Commission of rigging the voter list.

Second Day of the Yatra: Aurangabad to Gaya

Today was the second day of Rahul Gandhi's Yatra. The Yatra proceeded from Dev Road at eight in the morning. The convoy passed through Amba-Kutumba, Telhara, Patalganga, and Purana Thana Mor, reaching the Dev Surya Temple. At 9:30 am, Rahul Gandhi offered prayers at the Dev Surya Temple.

After this, the Yatra was given a break until noon and was resumed at 4 pm. During this time, the Yatra passed through Guraru, Bagdiha Mor, Ahiyapur Road, Daudnagar-Gaya Road, Panchanpur, and Kewali, crossing the Delhi Overbridge. At 6:30 pm, Rahul Gandhi addressed a public meeting, where a large number of people gathered. After this, at 7:30 pm, the Yatra reached Khalish Park, Gaya.

Rahul Gandhi's message: 'One Person, One Vote'

Announcing this Yatra, Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media platform X:

'16 days, more than 20 districts and a distance of over 1,300 kilometers. We are bringing the Voter Rights Yatra to the public. This is not just a journey, but a fight to protect the most basic democratic right—one person, one vote.'

He directly attacked the BJP and the Election Commission. Rahul said that the voter list is being manipulated across the country and Bihar is the biggest example of this. He alleged that suddenly one crore new voters were added in Maharashtra, which raises serious questions about the fairness of the Election Commission.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is continuously present in the Yatra with Rahul Gandhi. He said that the people of Bihar now want change and this Yatra is the beginning of that change. Leaders of the Left parties have also described this Yatra as a fight for democratic rights.

Government's Big Move Before Elections

Political experts believe that this Yatra of Rahul Gandhi is not limited to Bihar only. This is an attempt to send a message at the national level that the Congress and the Grand Alliance want to bring the issue of voter rights to the center of the electoral debate.

No official reaction has been received from the BJP on this Yatra so far, but it is believed that as the Yatra progresses, the political rhetoric will intensify. For the people of Bihar, this Yatra is an attempt to create a major political discourse before the upcoming elections.
