Jay Shah wrote, "I am proud to announce that Rohit Sharma is the tournament ambassador for the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka."

The schedule for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 was also released on Tuesday. Several legendary cricketing personalities attended this event. These included Indian women's team captain Harmanpreet Kaur, current Indian T20 team captain Suryakumar Yadav, former Indian captain and now tournament ambassador Rohit Sharma, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Mithun Manhas, Secretary Devjit Saikia, and Vice-President Rajeev Shukla.
