Sanjay Raut Counters Amit Shah: Terrorism Has No Religion

Sanjay Raut reacted to Amit Shah's statement in the Rajya Sabha, "A Hindu cannot be a terrorist." He said that terrorism has no religion and the Indian government should demand the release of Kulbhushan Jadhav from Pakistan.

Sanjay Raut: Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in his recent speech in the Rajya Sabha, stated that "A Hindu cannot be a terrorist." He made this statement during a discussion related to the Malegaon blast case. He emphasized that some people propagated a term like 'saffron terror' for political gains, but the court has acquitted all the accused, making it clear that there was no concrete evidence in this case. Amit Shah's statement has received considerable discussion in political circles.

Sanjay Raut Reacts, Says - Terrorism Has No Religion

Reacting to Amit Shah's statement, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) MP Sanjay Raut said that "Terrorism has no religion or caste." He said that Pakistan calls Kulbhushan Jadhav a Hindu terrorist, but India does not accept this. Raut said that if we consider Pakistan's accusation to be wrong, then we should also refrain from making such comments here.

Raut appealed to the government to send a b message to Pakistan and take concrete steps to get Kulbhushan Jadhav released. He said that if we cannot associate terrorism with any religion, then it is wrong to justify or condemn it in the name of any religion.

What is the Malegaon Blast Case?

On September 29, 2008, a massive explosion occurred in Malegaon, Maharashtra, in which 6 people died and more than 100 were injured. A total of seven people, including Sadhvi Pragya Thakur and Colonel Purohit, were accused in this case. Recently, the NIA court acquitted all the accused due to lack of evidence. Following this decision, Amit Shah made a statement against 'Hindu terrorism'.

Amit Shah's Comment on Malegaon Case

Amit Shah's statement was not only a reaction to a judicial decision, but it was also a political message. For years, opposition parties had questioned the theory of saffron terror, especially during the UPA government when the ATS and NIA investigated the case. The BJP has long maintained that there is no concept like Hindu terrorism and that this theory was used for political gain.

Sanjay Raut Raises Questions on Arrest of Khadse's Son-in-Law

Along with commenting on Amit Shah's statement, Sanjay Raut also reacted to the events happening in Maharashtra politics. Regarding the arrest of Eknath Khadse's son-in-law, Pranjal Khewalkar, in a drug case, Raut alleged that the arrest was part of political vendetta.

Drug Party Case and Allegation of Political Conspiracy

Pranjal Khewalkar was arrested for allegedly attending a drug party in Pune. Police claimed that drugs, hookah, and alcohol were recovered during the party. Raut said that this arrest is part of a pre-planned conspiracy and an attempt to defame the families of opposition leaders. He said that the Khadse family is being deliberately targeted.
