Sara Tendulkar Becomes the Face of Tourism Australia's 'Come and Say G'day' Campaign

Sara Tendulkar, daughter of Sachin Tendulkar, who is known as the God of Indian cricket, is now creating her own distinct identity. Recently, she has been chosen as the face of the Indian audience for ‘Tourism Australia’s’ 'Come and Say G’day' campaign.

Sports News: Sara Tendulkar, daughter of Sachin Tendulkar, revered as the God of Indian cricket, is now in the news for her own career and identity. Recently, Sara has been made the face of Tourism Australia’s ‘Come and Say G’day’ campaign. Through this campaign, Sara shared her childhood memories associated with Australia and explained how, despite cricket being a part of her life, she did not adopt it as a profession.

Childhood Memories Associated with Australia

In a conversation with India Today, Sara said that Australia has been a part of her life since childhood because her father, Sachin Tendulkar, regularly visited there for cricket tournaments. Sara first traveled to Australia in 1999. Sara especially shared memories of celebrating New Year's Eve in Sydney and the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

She said, celebrating New Year's on a boat with the entire team was an unforgettable experience for me. Memories of the MCG are also close to my heart. When I was young, I didn't understand its importance, but when I recently went to watch the Boxing Day Test match, all the childhood memories came alive again.

Distance from Cricket, but Emotional Connection

Cricket has always been present in Sara's life, but she clarified that she never thought of adopting it as a career. Sara said that she did play street cricket, but never had the desire to make cricket a profession. Sara said, cricket has always been a personal experience for me. It has been my brother's and father's field. I have always been a fan of their achievements and the magic of the game, but the thought of choosing it as a profession myself never occurred to me.

For Sara, her father's retirement match (2013) was a very emotional experience. She said, when I was old enough and could understand the importance of the match, it was a very special moment for me. As a child, I used to go to watch Papa's matches, but at that time, I didn't fully understand its importance.

New Face of Tourism Australia

Sara has been included in the ‘Come and Say G’day’ campaign, in which the animated kangaroo ‘Ruby’ has already gained international recognition. Sara's joining will help connect the Indian audience with the cultural and tourism aspects of Australia. Sara said that Australia is not just a part of sports or travel for her, but it is also connected to the joys and memories of her childhood.

In the Indian media, Sara is often associated with her father's name, but now she is busy creating her own profession and identity. Whether it is advertising campaigns or personal branding on social media, Sara is gradually creating a distinct identity in her career.
