The auspicious month of Sawan holds special significance for devotees of Lord Shiva. This is the time when devotees wholeheartedly engage in the worship of Bholenath. Offering water on the Shivling, offering Bel leaves, fasting, and performing special prayers every Monday are all part of this month. In 2025, Sawan began on July 11th, and now this auspicious month has reached its final stage.
This time, Sawan ends on August 9, 2025. This day is the Purnima Tithi (full moon day) of Shravan Maas, which is considered very sacred in the Hindu calendar. The festival of Raksha Bandhan will also be celebrated on this day. If for some reason you have not been able to perform Shiva Puja throughout Sawan, today is a very auspicious day.
