Shashi Tharoor Excluded from Parliament Discussion on Pahalgam Attack, Operation Sindoor

In Parliament, Congress did not give Shashi Tharoor a chance to speak during the discussion on the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor. Tharoor's silence and exclusion from the list have become a topic of discussion in political circles.

New Delhi: During the monsoon session of Parliament, an agreement was reached for a special discussion on the Pahalgam terrorist attack and India's retaliatory Operation Sindoor. In this context, it was expected that Congress MP Shashi Tharoor would get an opportunity to speak. However, when Congress released its list of six leaders, Tharoor's name was not included. When the media questioned him about this, he simply smiled and said, "Silent vow, silent vow," and moved on.

The six leaders chosen by Congress

The six MPs chosen by the Congress party for this special discussion include Gaurav Gogoi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Deepender Hooda, Praniti S Shinde, Saptagiri Ulaka, and Brijendra S Ola. These leaders are known for representing the party in Parliament and have often been the voice of Congress on important issues.

Why Tharoor's exclusion is surprising

Shashi Tharoor is considered among the most prominent speakers in Parliament. His oratory skills, grasp of foreign policy, and global perspective often lend strength to Congress. His silence on such a sensitive and strategic issue surprises political analysts. His exclusion raises questions about Congress's internal strategy.

Operation Sindoor and Tharoor's role

Recently, in response to Pakistan's actions, the Operation Sindoor conducted by India was being hailed nationwide as a demonstration of political unity and military success. To strengthen India's image internationally on this matter, the government had sent a delegation led by Tharoor to the United States and other countries. Despite this, when Congress finalized the names of speakers in Parliament on the same issue, Tharoor's name was conspicuously absent from the list.
