Sonbhadra district has received administrative and financial approval for the repair and renovation of several major connecting and rural roads, which will provide better road facilities to passengers and local people, making travel and commuting easier.
The Public Works Department has been approved a sum of over 14 crore rupees from the State Road Fund.
Approximately 6 crore rupees have been released in the first phase, with which repair and improvement work will begin.
The approved roads include routes that have been in poor condition for many years and on which thousands of villagers and passengers depend daily.
Repairing these roads will make access to schools, hospitals, tehsils, block headquarters, and markets easier. Villagers, who have faced problems due to dilapidated roads, especially during the monsoon season, will receive significant relief.
The Public Works Department has completed preparations to begin the tendering process, and work is expected to start soon. The administration states that this project will prove to be important for rural connectivity and regional development in Sonbhadra.
