SSC has released the notification for Stenographer Grade C and D recruitment 2025. Applications will be accepted from June 6th to June 26th, and the examination will be held in August 2025. Candidates who have passed the 12th standard can apply for this government job.

SSC Stenographer: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade C and Grade D. Eligible candidates can apply online from June 6, 2025, to June 26, 2025, to participate in this recruitment drive. The application process is available on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in.

Online Application Process and Important Dates

The online application process has begun on June 6th and will continue until June 26, 2025. The last date for submitting the online application fee is June 27th. Additionally, candidates will have the opportunity to correct any errors in their application forms on July 1st and 2nd. Candidates who have made any errors in their application forms can correct them during these two days.

Exam Date and Mode

The SSC Stenographer exam will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT). This exam will be held between August 6th and August 11th, 2025. Admit cards will be released on the SSC website a few days before the exam. Candidates are advised to regularly check the website to avoid missing any updates.

Skill Test and Selection Process

Candidates who successfully complete the CBT will be called for a skill test. The skill test will be qualifying in nature, meaning no marks will be added, but passing it is mandatory. The final selection will be based on the candidate's CBT score, merit list, and their preference.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates wishing to participate in this exam must have a minimum educational qualification of a 12th-standard pass from a recognized board. The age limit for Grade C is 18 to 30 years, and for Grade D, it is 18 to 27 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to reserved categories as per government rules.

Application Fee Information

Candidates from the General and OBC categories will have to pay an application fee of ₹100. However, women, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), differently-abled, and other reserved category candidates are exempted from the fee. The fee can also be paid online.

Total Vacancies

Approximately 261 positions for Stenographer Grade C and Grade D will be filled through this recruitment drive. The detailed classification of posts and department-wise details will be released later by the SSC.

Visit the SSC website, ssc.gov.in, and complete the One Time Registration if you haven't already. Then, log in and fill out the application form with your personal information, educational qualifications, and contact details. Upload scanned copies of the required documents and passport-size photograph, and pay the application fee. After verifying all information, submit the form and download and save the confirmation page.
