A case involving the alleged abduction of a young man and a ransom demand has been reported in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. According to police, the accused allegedly abducted the youth and later made a WhatsApp call to his family demanding Rs 1 lakh for his release. The family immediately informed the police, who launched an operation and rescued the youth safely. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered and further investigation is underway.
According to available information, the youth had left home for some work but did not return for a long time. During this period, a WhatsApp call was received on a family member’s mobile phone. The caller reportedly identified himself as an associate of the abductors and demanded Rs 1 lakh in exchange for the youth’s release. The caller also allegedly threatened that the youth could be harmed if the money was not paid.
After receiving the call, the family contacted the local police. Acting on the information, police formed a special team under the supervision of senior officers and began a search operation. The investigation involved technical surveillance, mobile location tracking and the examination of other leads.
Within a few hours, police recovered the youth safely. Authorities said the youth did not suffer any serious physical injuries. Following his return home, family members expressed relief and thanked the police for their action.
