Teacher Murders Facebook Friend in Rajasthan's Barmer Over Marriage Dispute

Barmer: A sensational incident came to light on Monday morning in the Barmer district of Rajasthan when a government teacher murdered his Facebook friend and Anganwadi supervisor, Mukesh Kumari, with an iron rod. The woman's body was found on the driver's seat of the accused's car. Police and forensic teams reached the spot and began their investigation.

Woman Dies After Dispute with Facebook Friend

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Mukesh Kumari from Chiraawa town in Jhunjhunu district. She was working as an Anganwadi supervisor in the Sikar district. The accused, Manaram, a resident of Chawa village in Barmer district and a government teacher, was Mukesh's Facebook friend.

Sources indicate that the two became friends online in October 2024, which later developed into a romantic relationship. On September 10, Mukesh arrived in Barmer and was staying at the accused's house. When she pressured him about marriage, Manaram outright refused. The woman had also sought help from the police in this matter, but the accused did not allow her to meet his family.

Youth Kills Woman in Anger

Police investigation revealed that due to anger and a dispute, Manaram attacked Mukesh with an iron rod, leading to her death. Subsequently, her body was placed in the car to make the murder appear as an accident. The police received information about the incident around 7:30 AM on Monday.

SP Narendra Kumar Meena stated that the preliminary investigation makes it clear that the murder took place inside the house, and the body was later placed in the car. Teams from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Dog Squad, and Mobile Crime Unit (MOU) reached the spot and collected evidence.

Accused Manaram Arrested

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police took the accused Manaram into custody. Interrogation is ongoing, and in his initial statement, he has not confessed to the murder. The police have assured that a thorough investigation will be conducted, and the guilty will be given the harshest punishment.

Local residents are stunned by this incident. They commented that this event serves as proof of how dangerous turns relationships formed on social media can take. The police are considering every aspect in the investigation of the entire case.
