Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak virtually inaugurated a total of 84 projects on Wednesday, including Integrated Public Health Laboratories (IPHLab) in 27 districts and 50-bedded hospitals at Community Health Centers (CHC) in 42 districts, with a total cost of Rs 484.69 crore.
Lucknow: Taking a significant step towards improving the health sector, the Uttar Pradesh government inaugurated a total of 84 projects, including Integrated Public Health Laboratories (IPH Labs) in 27 districts and 50-bedded hospitals in 42 districts. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also laid the foundation stone for a new 200-bedded district hospital building in Sitapur. These projects, collectively worth Rs 484.69 crore, will play a crucial role in strengthening the state's health infrastructure.
Details and Objectives of the Projects
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak stated that the objective of these projects is to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare facilities in the state. Under these projects:
- Integrated Public Health Laboratories have been established in 27 districts.
- 50-bedded hospitals have been constructed at Community Health Centers (CHC) in 42 districts.
- The foundation stone for a 200-bedded district hospital building has been laid in Sitapur.
These facilities will provide basic healthcare services, pathology tests, maternal and child vaccination, medicine distribution, and primary treatment to the general public. Additionally, the provision of ICU beds and ventilators has also been ensured. Critical Care Blocks are being developed in the state for the treatment of critically ill patients. The availability of specialist doctors, nursing, and paramedical staff has been ensured in these blocks. This will enable patients to receive state-of-the-art treatment within their own districts.
Geographical Distribution of Projects
Brajesh Pathak inaugurated a 50-bedded Critical Care Block in Etah, and IPH Labs in Jalaun, Lalitpur, Agra, Budaun, Siddharth Nagar, Banda, Gorakhpur, Pilibhit, Sambhal, Baghpat, Balrampur, Shravasti, Gonda, Aligarh, Hathras, Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Kanpur Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Muzaffarnagar, Jaunpur, Basti, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, and Ghazipur.
Additionally, medicine warehouses were inaugurated in Hapur, Shamli, Siddharth Nagar, Banda, Kanpur Dehat, Unnao, Sultanpur, Amethi, Ambedkar Nagar, Hamirpur, Lalitpur, Amroha, and Azamgarh. This will ensure the availability of medicines and timely treatment for patients.
Primary Health Centers (PHC) and Community Health Centers (CHC)
50-bedded hospitals have been opened at CHCs and PHCs across various districts of the state. Key districts include:
- Subansa Bairampur, Prithviganj in Pratapgarh
- Auwar, Derwa, Chhipalgarh in Etah
- Barai Par Paithan in Sant Kabir Nagar
- Allipur Bahera in Fatehpur
- Gola Sultanpur Bairisal in Ghazipur
Additionally, 50-bedded hospitals have been launched at Behta CHC in Lucknow, and in Agra, Mathura, Hathras, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Amethi, Sant Kabir Nagar, Mau, Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Bijnor, Rampur, Bahraich, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Mahoba, Kanpur Nagar, Raebareli, Ballia, Basti, and Azamgarh.
