Viral Video: Women Bathe BJP Leader in Mud to Appease Rain God in Uttar Pradesh

A shocking and unique video is going viral on social media from the Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh. Distressed by the scorching heat and lack of rain, women from the town of Nautanwa, following a traditional ritual, took BJP leader and former municipal chairman Guddu Khan to a field and bathed him with mud and water. The women say that this ritual is performed to appease the rain god, Indra, so that it rains and people get relief from the heat.

The video shows women tying Guddu Khan's hands and feet with ropes and taking him to the field, where they bathe him with mud while singing traditional Kajri songs. This scene not only became a symbol of folk faith but also a sharp satire on administrative apathy.

 Administration is ignoring

The women stated that there has been a water crisis in the area for a long time. Despite several complaints, the administration has not taken any concrete steps. Finally, with hope fading, they resorted to this folk tradition, which has been followed for generations.

According to local belief, when a prominent person of the village or area is bathed with water and mud in this manner, Indra is pleased and brings rain. The women said that this is not just a symbol of protest but also of faith, in which the well-being of the entire village is desired.

Ready every year for the well-being of the people

BJP leader Guddu Khan also reacted to this tradition. He said that this is not a new thing, but a tradition that has been going on for years. In earlier times as well, when there was no rain, kings and emperors were bathed in this manner to appease Indra.

He said, if this tradition brings relief to the people and it rains, then I am ready for it every year. This is the faith and belief of the public, and I respect it.

Viral video becomes a topic of debate

The entire matter is rapidly going viral on social media. Some people consider it an example of rural faith and culture, while others are calling it an expression of public dissatisfaction towards the administration. Whatever it may be, this video is not only attracting the attention of internet users but also giving a clear message to the government and administration—the public is no longer silent, whether their protest is traditional or symbolic.
