The formation of new parties during election season is not uncommon. In this vein, a new party, the Vikas Vanchit Insaan Party (VVIP), was launched today in Patna.
Bihar Elections 2025: As the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections draw near, new equations are emerging and dissolving in the state's political landscape. In this context, a new party made its debut in Patna on Saturday, attracting everyone's attention. The party is named Vikas Vanchit Insaan Party (VVIP). This new party has been formed by Pradeep Nishad, who identifies himself as a b leader of the Mallah community and hails from Uttar Pradesh.
With the formation of VVIP, it is believed that the existing Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) in Bihar and its leader Mukesh Sahani may face difficulties. VIP, or Vikassheel Insaan Party, had strengthened its hold in the Mallah community by being a part of the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) in the last election, but now, VVIP, which has emerged from the same community, is claiming to make inroads into their vote bank.
Pradeep Nishad's Strategy
Pradeep Nishad was once considered close to Mukesh Sahani. Both were seen on the same stage during the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, but a dispute there strained their relationship. Since then, Pradeep Nishad has charted his own political course. Now, he has started his political innings through the VVIP party in Bihar.
In a conversation with ABP News, Pradeep Nishad clearly stated, "Mukesh Sahani's party is named Vikassheel Insaan Party, which means development has taken place, but my party is Vikas Vanchit Insaan Party, which aims to give a voice to those who have been deprived of development." He claims that he will unite all the sub-castes of the Mallah community and take concrete steps for their social, educational, and economic development.
Impact on Mukesh Sahani's Strategy
Mukesh Sahani has established his identity in Bihar with the image of "Son of Mallah" and is bly raising the issue of reservation among the Mallah community. The way he won seats in the last election by joining the Mahagathbandhan had made him powerful. But now, with the entry of Pradeep Nishad's VVIP, the possibility of a split in the Mallah votes has increased.
Political analysts believe that if VVIP gains even a little hold in the Mallah community, it will harm VIP and the electoral calculations of the Mahagathbandhan may also be affected.
I have forgotten the old things - Pradeep Nishad
However, in political circles, this is also being described as an attempt to take personal revenge, but Pradeep Nishad firmly denies this. He said, "These are old things, I don't want to remember them. My only aim is to strengthen my party and raise the voice of people deprived of development." He emphasized that he would now go among the public and gather support for his ideology and policies.
The entry of VVIP before the Bihar Assembly elections has made it clear that the contest will be multi-cornered this time. In the race to woo the approximately 4 percent votes of the Mallah community, two faces are now face to face - on one side Mukesh Sahani, on the other side Pradeep Nishad. Mukesh Sahani's party has not yet reacted to this new challenge, but political sources say that they may soon change their strategy.
